CAPITAL BEFORE TRADE
Disadvantaged twice.
Once by the market, which everyone understands.
Once by our own biology, which almost nothing in this industry addresses, because it does not sell as well as a setup does.
I spent eight years in stroke and brain injury rehabilitation before I traded. The second one is the work I know how to do, and it is what this company was built around.
ARGUMENT
THE ARGUMENT
Three things decide whether a trader lasts, and only one of them is the chart.
They sit in an order, and the order runs upward. Fix the top without the two beneath it and it holds for about a month.
Your capital structure sets the load
An account that has to produce income this month puts survival pressure on every position. Capital has roles, and one account cannot hold all of them.
The load decides whether the plan is reachable
A rule you can recite calmly at nine at night is unavailable to you at ten the next morning. That is a nervous system, not a character defect.
And you still have to read the terrain
Where the size is parked, and what the board in front of you is actually shaped like. Everyone starts here. It only pays once the two beneath it hold.
THIS DIFFERENT
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
A trader does not rise to the level of their knowledge.
They fall to the level of nervous system function available under pressure.
You can know the setup. Knowing it and executing it are two different capacities, and only one of them survives a live position. Trading brings exposure, loss and open profit into the room, and once your system reads those as danger it organizes you around relief instead of execution.
You have been told that is a discipline problem. Known risk is tolerable. People hold it in every job, all day, without their hands shaking. What escalates a person is not knowing what they are looking at.
You did not run out of discipline. You spent what you had before the day started.
Anyone can make money in the markets. The real question is whether they can keep it.
WHY THIS COMPANY CHANGED SHAPE
TO BEGIN
WHERE TO BEGIN
There is no wrong door, and the first three cost nothing.
Take the step that fits where you are now. Nobody climbs this in order and there is no pressure to.
Locate Yourself
Take it →A self assessment for traders who already have something that works. About twenty minutes, and no score at the end. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
Read the work
Read →Essays on Substack, shorter observations on X and Instagram. Written as the thinking happens rather than from a finished place.
Sit in the room
Join →Our Discord, open to anyone. One question every morning, and whoever wants to answer it. No payment, no application, and you can read without ever saying anything.
TRT Compass
See the tool →Knowing where you stand is most of the battle. It measures how much room the board in front of you has before anything is on, shows where the size is parked, and tells you what price has already done at the level you are standing on, so the meaning you make comes from the market instead of from memory. It grades its own reads in public.
The evaluation
See how it runs →One session, an intake packet beforehand, and a written report afterward describing how you currently function under financial pressure. Most people start here, and for some it is all they need.
Two ways to keep going
See both →The Trader Rehabilitation Program, eight or twelve weeks, three people at a time. Or the Development Program, twelve months, for becoming a capital manager. The report tells you which one fits.
METHOD
THE METHOD
You do not blame a person for the nervous system they have.
You change what the task is asking until they can meet it.
That is a rule you absorb early in rehabilitation and never lose. It is not a metaphor picked up later. It is what eight years of work with people relearning to move after a stroke or a brain injury actually consists of, and it is the same work in a different setting.
Progress here is measured in behavior rather than in profit and loss. Regulatory capacity, perceptual clarity, behavioral consistency, uncertainty tolerance, identity stability. None of those is a number and all of them can be observed.
FIRST STEP
THE FIRST STEP
Message me, and tell me the specific thing.
"I moved my stop three times on Tuesday and I still do not know why" is something to work with. "I need better discipline" is harder, because discipline was never the variable.
If this would help you I will say so. If it would not, I will say that instead, and it costs you nothing to have asked.
